‘Early in the Morning’
Handmade, original linocut print, printed from several handcarved and hand-inked linocut blocks. This print is based on sketches and photographs of this iconic bristol scene of the SS Great Britain in the dry dock in Bristol City centre. I was trying to capture the beautiful and dramatic morning light that casts across the ship and the water.
This colourway of the design is printed in a limited edition of 8. As these are handprinted there are slight differences in colour between each print and the paper type. I have tried to capture this in the photos.
Printed area approximately 31cm x21cm
