‘Early in the Morning’
Handmade, original linocut print, printed from several handcarved and hand-inked linocut blocks. This print is based on sketches and photographs of this iconic bristol scene of the SS Great Britain in the dry dock in Bristol City centre. I was trying to capture the beautiful and dramatic morning light that casts across the ship and the water.
This design is printed in a limited edition of 50 in this colour-way. There is also a grey-mustard version (edition of 8) and numerous artists proofs where I was experiemnting with colour.
