Commissions

It’s always a delight to work on commissioned pieces, many of them have beautiful stories behind them.
I love to make something that is going to be cherished.

The commission process:

Feel free to get in touch to discuss your potential project no matter how clear (or not!) your ideas might be. I’m happy to discuss possibilities. There is no obligation at this point to follow up with the commission.

  • In an initial chat we can explore what you are looking for, your inspriations, time scale and budget.
If the piece is site specific, such as a mural, I will visit the space, to measure up and make notes.
  • Following this initial discussion I will set out a price plan and expected timescale.
Depending on the scale of the project and the amount of planning necessary, initial sketches may be needed, these will be charged for separately from the final piece
  • Once the design, time-scale and cost of the final piece is agreed I will need a deposit (usually around 50% of total estimated cost) to begin the piece.
  • I will keep you informed of the progress of your commission so that you can keep track of when to expect it’s completion.
  • Finally, the total remaining cost of the work will be invoiced on completion of the piece.
Recent commissions:

As well as being a printmaker I am also a painter. This handpainted mural was commissioned to bring life and colour to an outdoor entertainment space.
It celebrates local migrating birds – Swallows and White-Fronted Geese in South Wales

Floating Harbour.

This piece is a 2.6 Meter long, linoprinted concertina book. This was printed from over 30 hand carved, handprinted lino blocks. It celebrates the history and industry of Bristol’s floating harbour.
