These photos show some of the process to make this print. It took a few attempts in the printing stage to get the colours right and give it the drama I thought it deserved.
The Curled Octopus is part of my UK Sealife series I wanted to remain true to the species and show it as it is normally seen, with its legs curled up beneath it. It is wonderful to know that these creatures can be found off the UK coastline..
Drawing all those suckers in perspective as they curled around in all directions nearly got the better of me! This shows the printing plate cut and ready to be given some texture
